Fly High, Young Amethyst! Her feathers scatter, gracefully floating downwards, as the silvery winged cub soars across the night sky. The world below her was all simply a distance memory, she remembers her brief pause when reflecting on her sudden freedom... and how much of a temper tantrum her former Master threw once realizing his loss... she had been happy to leave him there crying in rage, snatching the feathers from her wings while they drifted down. Wrinkling her face, (Flehmen response) the young cub drew the scent of the cool breeze in through her mouth, wanting to have a good taste of... her new found freedom... licking her muzzle afterwards in satisfaction. Flapping her wings, increasing her speed, she ascends to an even greater heights where she just allows herself to glide through the clouds. Excitement struck when the brightness of the full moon filled her wide teal colored eyes, soon pondering if she could reach the bright rounded spear and sharpen her claws on it's surface. Amethyst's Story. For as long as she could recall, she had been labeled a freak, it wasn't just because she had a gorgeous coat of silvery fur. Nor was it the shiny gem that sparkled on her forehead either, although It had been what caught their attention at first glance. No, what really caused her to be labeled a freak, was the large pair of feathered wings on her back. As far as she knew, she had been born alone, with no knowledge of what propose they served. Which led to her being imprisoned by, these creatures that stood tall on only two legs. Ever since her capture, she was forced to be in the annual freakshow, where her wings were put on display and shown to a large crowd of these... two legged creatures. Some of them weren't that bad, she loved when they would rub her fur with their paws, always rewarding them with a soft throaty purr. Her Master however, she hated and feared him, a fierce snarl (Which didn't sound so fierce when coming from a little cub such as her.) was the main creature that wAmethyst's Story. by Growlie26

It was everywhere.
Who would do this? Some fox-hearted creature?
I stared at the corpse of my sister, heart pounding.
Limb from limb, ripped, flesh, bone, blood.
I was getting light headed form the heavy aroma coming from the sour smelling blood.
I would never forget this sight. Then again, who would?
But who, oh so heartless. So merciless, Would murder, so brutally?
I flexed my claws, bending over her corpse. This meant revenge. She was so innocent.
I heard whimpers coming from my throat as i looked at her. Her light grey pelt was blood stained.
I stared.. crackling madly.
Have i lost my sanity? One of me asked
Indeed i have... The other answered
she wouldn't hurt anything unless she had to. I dragged her scattered, ripped limbs to her body, trying to fix her.
I looked at her head, staring into her dull lifeless blue eyes.
It was all just... too much...
Rage built inside me. I hissed. A twig snapped behind me, before i could turn and see what caused it to, claws dug in
The Nameless: Chapter OneI strode away from the mangled corpses of my victims. Quite a pleasure, since I hated them so much. Snobby little she's.The Nameless: Chapter One by LoveBrokenSmiles
Blood was my favorite taste. I just loved the tang, the way it rolled over my claws and pearly white fangs was so satisfying. The texture of the salty red vitals as it poured through my tawny fur and dropped onto the ground seemed to complete my day.
Oh, blood was so precious. That's what made killing even sweeter. But there was always that small voice in the back of my head, mixed up with the rest, telling me it was wrong. A crime. Is it? Is killing bad? I've been doing it for the longest time, and had never been caught nor ever lost a fight. That voice was fading, though, slowly drowning in the abyss of the other ever growing voices.
I stalked through a ridged stone trail leading to my gave, talking to my thoughts as the rough terrain seemingly threatened to sink into my hardened paw pads. When I was younger, in a much more innocent time, others used to call me 'cu

A pair of McMinnville teens, one being adjudicated as an adult and the other as a juvenile, have been accused of taking sadistic pleasure in torturing a cat to death.
Darnell Lee Johnson, of 1145 S.W. Cypress St., was arraigned Wednesday in Yamhill County Circuit Court on one count each of aggravated first-degree animal abuse, a Class C felony, and first-degree animal abuse, a Class A misdemeanor.
Co-defendant Adrian Bautista, 17, was already lodge in McMinnville’s Yamhill County Juvenile Detention Facility in an unrelated case by the time police finished their investigation. He will face one count of aggravated first-degree animal abuse in the new case.
Marson said the two teens trapped the animal in a sheet at a McMinnville apartment. She said they hit it, kicked it and struck it with a fire extinguisher, then drowned it in a toilet and threw the carcass in a garbage can.
She said it was an outrageous crime, and Johnson, being held in the Yamhill County Jail, had shown no remorse. She said he had laughed about it and bragged about it to others, taking delight in what he had done.
Johnson was lodged initially on $5,000 bail. However, Pre-trial Release Officer Jim VanArsdel recommended he be granted a conditional release, and Judge Ronald Stone approved it over prosecution objections.
VanArsdel said Johnson, an unemployed dropout who lives with his mother and older brother, would be subject to house arrest. He said Johnson would remain under around-the-clock supervision.
His mother works, VanArsdel said, but arrangements would be made so provide adult supervision for him when she is away.
Marson argued Johnson’s release would post a “huge public safety concern.” She cited ORS 135.240, which says: “When the defendant is charged with a violent felony, release shall be denied if the court finds ... by clear and convincing evidence, that there is a danger of physical injury or sexual victimization to the victim or members of the public by the defendant while on release.”
Both Johnson and his co-defendant admitted what they had done to McMinnville police officer Brian McMullen.
He said they had also detailed their actions to a relative, who indicated they found it hugely amusing. They were reporting “laughing and laughing” as they recounted the story.
Stone appointed McMinnville attorney Carol Fredrick to represent Johnson, who is next due in court at 1:45 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19.
